HectorKirk Gundogs & Sporting has a wealth of experience in the shooting field. Harvey Wiggins has been a record breaking gamekeeper for 22 years, the last 12 being on Conistone & Grassington Estate in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Harvey draws from all his years of keepering and the many loyal relationships built with a variety of Headkeepers and Landowners to now be able to provide some superb ground to host our gundog training days. Based in Kettlewell, Harvey is able to offer training throughout the beautiful upper Eden Valley in the old county of Westmorland, Cumbria.

DUMMY TRAINING DAYS

HectorKirk will be running training days on moorland conditions and grass allotments for teams of up to 10 handlers. This is aimed for gundogs wishing to compete in working tests or field trials, in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

GAME TRAINING DAYS

These days are for handlers and dogs to gain valuable experience in a real shooting situation, along with tuition if required. We can source top U.K trainers for H.P.R’s, Spaniels & Labradors to come along on your day for an additional fee.

SIMULATED DAYS

These consist of teams of 6 – 8 handlers per day and run over two or three days. Limited to 8 handlers per group session, however you may bring and train multiple dogs. We can provide top U.K trainers on these days for an additional fee.
